ChatGPT visibility tracker
A ChatGPT visibility tracker shows whether ChatGPT names your brand when buyers ask it for recommendations, and how you compare to competitors it names instead.
ChatGPT reports more than 900 million weekly users (OpenAI, February 2026), many asking it what to buy.

Enter your domain. We write three brand-blind buyer questions for your category and put them to ChatGPT itself, logged out, at a UK location. You get back whether each answer named you, the pages it cited and one sentence where it did. A sample of three, not a score.
What ChatGPT answers looked like in our checks

Aggregates only; no brand is identified. A small sample, so read these as what we saw, not a market figure.

How the ChatGPT visibility tracker works
You give Discoverable your domain and the questions your buyers ask; the ChatGPT tracker runs those prompts against ChatGPT on a schedule and records the whole answer: whether your brand is named, where you sit among the brands it recommends, which pages the answer cites, and, where the surface reveals them, the web searches ChatGPT ran before it answered. Each reading is the public, logged-out answer for that prompt at a given locale, and every report labels exactly what it was read from.
Track ChatGPT recommendations, not just mentions
A mention count on its own says little. To track ChatGPT properly you need position among the named brands, share of voice against the competitors it names instead, the exact wording it uses about you, and the third-party sources feeding those answers. Discoverable scores all of that per prompt and rolls ChatGPT into your weighted visibility score alongside the other engines, so a change in how ChatGPT treats your category shows up on one trend line.
ChatGPT visibility: questions
How do I track my visibility in ChatGPT?
Discoverable runs your buyer-style prompts through ChatGPT on a schedule, records whether you are mentioned and how prominently, captures the full answer and its cited sources, and scores your visibility over time. You see exactly what ChatGPT tells buyers about your category and where it pulls those answers from.
Can I track ChatGPT visibility for free?
The free check runs on Claude with live web search, no login, so you see the mechanics and your starting point without a card. The free plan then follows your tracked prompts weekly on Claude and checks the core prompts across every surface once a month, ChatGPT included. Paid plans check ChatGPT weekly for the core prompts and monthly for the full panel, with no per-engine fees.
How do I measure my brand's visibility in ChatGPT by hand?
Open a temporary chat, or switch memory off, so your own history does not shape the answer. Ask each buyer question with search on and, where the interface allows it, again with search off, and ask the same question several times, because the brand list changes between runs. For every answer record four things: whether you are named, your position among the brands named, the exact wording used about you, and the pages the answer cites. Repeat weekly with the same wording. The tracker does the same job on a schedule: it reads the public, logged-out answer at a given locale, brand-blind, checks your core prompts weekly, scores each answer on a scale that rewards being named first and decays with rank, and weights ChatGPT in your overall score by its published reach (OpenAI reported 900M+ weekly users in 2025; the weights and their sources are on the methodology page).
Does the tracker see the searches ChatGPT runs?
Where the public surface reveals them, yes: Discoverable records the web searches ChatGPT ran before answering, so you can see the queries behind the answers that name you and the ones that leave you out.
